Lauren Conrad's Saturday Night Smoochfest
While Lauren Conrad claims she's not dating My Boys actor Kyle Howard, her actions on Saturday night tell another story.
The Hills starlet hit Teddy's with Kyle in tow, where they proceeded to engage in some serious PDA. Eat your heart out, Brody Jenner!
"They were making out and just totally being a couple," says a source, regarding the duo. "They were kissing all night."

MTV Gives Whitney Her Own Spinoff, Sources Say
The much-talked-about Hills spinoff featuring Whitney Port has been picked up by MTV, sources confirm to E! News exclusively.
"They will start shooting immediately," says a show source, who confirms the pickup just happened within the last two weeks—though the network has not officially confirmed.
The series, set to begin airing in early 2009, will feature Port's life in New York City, where she is now working for Diane von Furstenberg. (You know, that nice lady from the American Express commercials.)
Looking back, we realize Whitney's role on The Hills could be called superfluous...
Watch Out, L.C.: Jason's Headed for The Hills
Here comes drama.
Lauren Conrad's controversial ex, Jason Wahler—of Laguna Beach and mugshot fame—says he's close to signing on as a castmember of The Hills next season.
But while a stormy reunion with L.C. is inevitable, it probably won't be of the romantic variety—Jason's fiancée, Katja Decker-Sadowski, is also in talks to appear.
Besides, the guy's got a more important encounter in mind—he wants to challenge Spencer Pratt to a fight. Sounds like solid TV gold to us.
Lauren Conrad Books It
That Pulitzer Prize is as good as hers.
After proving her mastery of the spoken word as the protagonist of The Hills, Lauren Conrad is staking her claim on the written word, signing a three-book deal with HarperCollins based on her Hollywood experiences—presumably, the minutiae not already chronicled on TV.
According to the Hollywood Reporter, the book series, which follows an average teen who becomes a reality star, could potentially be developed as a film or (uh, another) TV project.
While the books will be based on Conrad's gal-about-town shenanigans, the young adult tomes will officially be classified as fiction, with the first in the series set for release in the summer of 2009.
Hills Girls Are Crying, but We Can't Seem to Care
Lauren and Audrina cried it out last night over their failing friendship. It ended with Audrina’s “Well, OK then, let’s do it” which came across more as “Ugh, I give in, stop crying already.”
And this morning Audrina spewed some Lo-hate on Ryan Seacrest's KIIS-FM show with a surprisingly diplomatic: “I mean I don’t not like her, but I don’t like her.”
The thing is, we’re having trouble finding a reason to care about the Hills girls anymore, which is weird because just a few months ago, they were all we could think about. Is this just the natural ebb and flow of pop culture, is MTV just not bringing it this season, or is it more about simple overexposure?
When a Starlet and an Icon Wear the Same Dress: Brenda Walsh vs. L.C.
Lauren Conrad and Shannen Doherty stepped out last night in the same dress. Sure, it was on different coasts (the 90210 star was in NYC for the Late Show) and in different colors, but that doesn’t mean we’d let it slip past us.
We actually feel pretty sorry for L.C. in this fashion face-off—Shannen Doherty is no one we’d like to take on, even if it’s just over who wore a dress best. After all, there may not have been an all-out fistfight between Brenda and Kelly during the original 90210, but there was definitely some scratching.
So you tell us: Which L.A. girl rocked this little silk dress with the fossil print the best? Also, when do you think the 90210-ers will run into the Hills girls at some hot club? Because that's gonna be an awesome showdown.
See L.C. and Jimmy Mock Spiedi and Such
We were too busy with our bratwurst this weekend to keep up with Lauren Conrad's busy life, so we missed her on Jimmy Kimmel Live! That's why we love the YouTube. Get ready for topless Emmy gowns, Lauren's 'razzi-dodging tips ("drive real fast on the freeway") and Jimmy forcing L.C. to watch a few seconds of Heidi Montag's writhing-on-the-beach video. Classic.
Oh, did we mention that Jimmy puts Spencer's head on a stick?
The Hills: Spencer & Lauren, Just Like Israel & Iran
Stephanie Pratt celebrated her 22nd birthday on The Hills last night. Gotta say we'd much rather have been at last week's B-day party for Audrina, with all her punk friends making Lo skittish.
Last night's attempts at drama all centered on whether or not Spencer and Heidi were going to come to Steph's party. They did their plotting in their secret lair—a dark booth at their Mexican restaurant—and were ready to go.
What's really weird is that Lauren and Lo somehow managed to convince themselves that Speidi would not be present for Spence's sister's soiree. But alas, there was no actual confrontation at the party—everyone just bolted when Spencer did his douche stroll into the club. Such a wasted opportunity.
But how 'bout that Israel-Iran conflict? Yeah, we didn't forget about that—more after the jump...
The Hills Is Back and More Boring Than Ever!
The Hills girls, their unimpressive guys and Speidi fights are all back in our lives—let us rejoice! This season promised some serious drama with that mascara-stained trailer, and we certainly got our hopes up.
But like so many times before, after a holiday spent in front of MTV and the sorta boring episode, we were filled with both disappointment and the desire for more Hills. Ah, the show’s maddening secret to success!
The L.C. tearfest wasn't in this episode, but “on this season of The Hills” promises it's still coming, along with Audrina taking off her top (she wouldn't!), more Heidi and Flesh Beard battles (really, guys?) and a possible peace treaty between Lauren and Heids (aw, they miss each other). So maybe something interesting will happen?
Tell us your favorite moment from last night in our poll after the jump.
Audrina's Disturbing New Gig
Lauren Conrad's not the only one making the jump to scripted TV. Well, slightly more scripted than usual TV, that is.
But while the erstwhile L.C. is set to appear as herself in an upcoming episode of Greek, fellow Hills gal-pal Audrina Patridge will be flexing a little more thespian muscle, revealing in a posting to her official website that she'll be appearing in the new fall sitcom Do Not Disturb.
And not, surprisingly, as her reality-star self.
"I'm having a great day!" she wrote in a posting Wednesday. "My manager and agent just called to tell me that I've been offered a guest appearance on a new comedy series airing on Fox this fall!"

Lauren Conrad Wants to Gossip
Lauren Conrad plays herself on an upcoming episode of ABC Family's Greek, but that's not the only show she may want to pop up on.
A Gossip Girl gig would be mighty awesome. "I love Gossip Girl," Conrad says. "I just love it. It's so gossipy and superficial. It's amazing."
On second thought, Conrad says she'd rather watch than participate. "I probably wouldn't want to see myself on there because it would ruin it for me," she explains. "I like watching other people get gossiped about. It makes me feel better."
Conrad certainly knows what it's like to be gossiped about. Read on for part two of my chat with the 22-year-old reality star...

Lauren Conrad Needs a New Home
Lauren Conrad has a message for her Los Angeles neighbors who have complained about the traffic and noise she attracts to their quiet tree-lined streets: She's moving.
OK, the movers aren't coming tomorrow, but The Hills star tells me she's already thinking about selling her house. "We’re going to have to move after we're done filming," Conrad says.
Why exactly? Read on to find out...
